6 months in web design

As I write this I find it really hard to believe that the summer is over and that we are rushing headlong towards the winter months.

Time flies when you’re busy and I certainly have been busy during the year. Substantial new websites have been designed and developed for Oriel Plas Glyn Y Weddw, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Anglesey Agricultural Society and MAD Sound and Lighting to name a few as well as several smaller sites and ongoing development work for current clients such as RibRide and Rogers Jones.

It’s great to be designing and developing new websites but also to be still working with clients on their websites long after they have launched. It shows that they are keen to add to and improve on their offering to clients, ultimately providing them with a better service, but also that they are happy with the work that I have done for them in the past and trust me to provide them with the quality of service they expect from a web designer.

Trust is hard earned and easily lost so this pleases me enormously.

Busman’s Holiday

As well as a trip to watch the mighty Wales play in the Euro finals and Wimbledon for some tennis the only other away break I’ve had was to the excellent Port80 conference in Newport. I’d only ever been to Newport many years ago to play rugby so it was nice to spend some time there on a social level.

Organised by the always entertaining, Hawaiian shirt clad Joel Hughes there were some great talks, including from my friend, Andy Clarke, who really needs a new joke book.

Above all though it was nice once again to catch up with some old and make some new Twitter acquaintances and put a face and voice to the the avatar and talk shop.

So, as the nights draw in and we edge closer to the end of the year it’s going to be more of the same. There are new websites in development, older websites to work on and enquiries coming in. Long may it continue!
