Below I have provided answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding my services and web design in general.

Now that I have received my e-mail account settings, how do I access my e-mails?

You will be able to access your e-mails in one of two ways. One is via a web based interface and the other is via an e-mail client on your computer.

There is limited storage capacity on the e-mail servers so I always recommend that you use an e-mail client in the first instance and use the web based interface if you cannot access your computer, for example when on holiday.

There are a wide variety of mail client software available for your computer depending on the operating system. Below I have listed links to guides to setting up the most popular:

How much will my website cost?

The cost of designing and developing a website depends on a lot of factors such as the complexity and volume of work involved.

If you would like an estimate please fill in the form on the contact page providing as much detail as possible about your requirements.

How long will it take to create my website?

This will also depend on the volume and complexity of work involved. A simple five page brochure site will obviously take less time than a large, database driven web site.

I could, however, provide you with a very basic holding page with a few business details and e-mail accounts within 24 hours.

How do I get my website to the top of the search engine rankings?

If you have an existing website that is not performing as well as you would like there may be ways to improve matters by tweaking your code and content. In the worst case scenario of a poorly constructed old website a redesign may be called for.

If I have designed and developed your website then it will already have been optimised for the best possible performance in search engines.

There are several other factors to consider which will be discussed with you during development.

However, your overall focus should be on providing high quality, relevant content which will be of interest to visitors.
